Black Sea Women’s Solidarity Association was founded to empower
women in economic, social, cultural, individual, legal, societal and
political issues, and started to work on “Violence and Discrimination
against Women” due to the needs.
Since there are no activities about violence against women in Trabzon, there is a need for “Group Work on Violence Awareness”. In collaboration with the General Consulate of Sweden, we realized the “Strengthening Women in Trabzon” project and our “Awareness-Building Workshops” began. These activities take one day a week for eight weeks.
We aim to increase the visibility of violence against women in Trabzon. To create the human resources potential for the information center we would like to establish, for this end, we strive to increase our capacity and we conduct “Group Work on Violence Awareness” with women who volunteer to participate in such activities.
