ÇEKEV Çiğli Evka 2 Women’s Culture House Association’s Center is located in
Evka 2 District and works in County of Çiğli as a women’s organization. Main
target group of our association consists of women who take work at home, who
goes to work to houses, home based workers, retired, worker women and our
perspective is to unite all women.
Our association was founded with 1500 signatures after 2 years of discussion of the draft project and in the process of signature campaign. We have currently 350 registered members. Together with targeting to transform all the signatories into members, all the women in the county are among our potential members.
We organize saz, guitar, theater courses for children and women in the district. We are directing women subjected to violence to bars, SHÇEK (Society of Social Services and Protection of Children), municipalities and public administration offices by providing consultancy services. We organize trainings for women to know and use their rights. We collect second hand clothes and belongings to help needy and poor women and their children. We provide study time services for poor women’s children. We are trying to be active and to contribute the issue of women’s rights and freedoms in our province, region and country.
